Dr. Mehdi Peikar graduated as a Board Certified Orthodontist from UCLA. Before doing a residency in orthodontics, he did a master degree in quantum mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and afterward a Ph.D. in biomechanics from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is the inventor, founder, and CEO of BRIUS®.
BRIUS is the most modern generation of orthodontic systems that moves the teeth independently, is hidden behind the teeth and shortens the treatment time by 50-75% while the number of visits to the orthodontist decreases significantly. BRIUS has proven to treat the patients of all ages from mixed dentition to adults of more than 60 years old. BRIUS is capable of treating the most complicated cases that are not treatable with clear aligner therapy. In addition, BRIUS is fixed to the teeth of the patient and does not need compliance like aligners to be worn all the time. Since no wire connects the teeth, flossing is possible with BRIUS which makes it a more hygienic option compared to traditional braces.
